Frankenstein III
we monsters tend to darkness
lovers of stars
moonlight
heavy rain and
a sort of velvet husbandry
and simple unappreciated pleasures
but the fires in a far-off sun
will no sooner warm your skin
with passion and remorse
than the cold and distant moon
and I guess that's why
we never have sense enough to run
when the villagers come
with their torches
